Watch the videos below to learn about our course & how to reduce and prevent swelling after plastic surgery

Your massages SHOULD NOT be painful, fibrosis doesn't have to become permanent scar tissue and swelling doesn't have to last months post-op.

If you're preparing for surgery with any surgeon, especially at Sonobello or Elite Body Sculpture, you already know they don't tell you much pre-op, but they tell you even less post-op. Sometimes the things like massaging yourself at home, that they advise after surgery end up causing more swelling, fibrosis and make your recovery take months, when it should take weeks.

Learn what common things to avoid, like using rollers on yourself at home, that you may be doing that cause your swelling to increase, become hard fibrosis, how to get rid of swelling and fibrosis and what exactly is supposed to be happening during your Lymphatic Drainage Post-Op Massage!

If you're having trouble with swelling that won't go away, hard, lumps, bumps, stiffness, your massages are painful and you need help finding a certified Lymphatic Drainage Therapist in your area, you need to take this course!

The only way to ensure you have a successful surgery without complications is to understand how your body is supposed to heal.

Educating yourself on things like lymphatic massages, garments, avoiding complications like fibrosis, learning how the body is supposed to heal so you can support it, and how to use your post-op supplies, is the ONLY way to ensure you get the results you paid for.

Our online course, Post-Op Lymphatic Massage and Finding A Therapist, is designed to help you navigate the post-op process by making empowered, educated decisions that support the body, not work against it like most of the things you see on social media.

About Our Our Post-Op Course

After investing a bunch of time, energy, and money into getting surgery, whether it’s Liposuction, a BBL (Brazilian butt lift), a Tummy Tuck, a Mommy Makeover, a Face Lift, or another surgery, the last thing you want to do is mess up your results during the recovery process or cause complications.

Excessive painful swelling, lumps, bumps, and fibrosis are all signs that your body is not healing properly and needs your help!

In this course, we go over how to navigate the phases of post-op healing, how to get rid of swelling after plastic surgery, common things you’re doing after surgery that cause fibrosis and swelling that won't go away, slowing down your healing, what is manual lymphatic drainage, why you need it after surgery, how to know if the massages you're getting are real Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and how to take your healing into your own hands to get the results you paid for.

This course is the missing piece for clients getting surgery at Sonobello or Elite Body Sculpture.

How to Know If Your Post-Op Massage Is Real Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage
You know you need Lymphatic Massage after surgery, but what exactly is manual lymphatic drainage massage?
Maybe you've found someone who says they do "Lymphatic Massage" but when you get in the room, they use oil, machines, and tools, or rub you, and push fluid out of your incisions which causes pain. Or maybe it feels like a regular massage and you're not really sure if the massage is ACTUAL Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
Your Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massages (MLD) SHOULD NEVER BE PAINFUL!!!
Maybe your surgeon gave you a list of different massage therapists, and they all do the massage differently. Maybe no one can explain to you why they're doing what they're doing to you and your swelling and fibrosis isn't going away.
Maybe you know that you need Manual Lymphatic Drainage and you're having trouble finding someone in your area or don't know how to tell if they're certified properly. Maybe you've found a bunch of certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapists but they don’t have experience with plastic surgery.

The only why to know if you're getting the real Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage that you need post-op is by learning:

  • What the “lymphatic” part of Lymphatic Drainage Massage means.
  • How the technique is supposed to be done.
  • Why it works for swelling.
  • How the sequence is supposed to go in order to work for swelling reduction.
  • What your therapist should know about the lymphatic system to verify they are properly trained and experienced in MLD.
  • What credentials or certifications your therapist should have.
  • What those credentials mean/ the level of knowledge your therapist should have.
More importantly, you need to be able to guide your therapist and advocate for yourself.
Having basic knowledge about how swelling after surgery works, how the MLD massage sequence should go, what it should feel like, and how it works, is key to making sure you're getting the right kind of massage. The massage should reduce swelling after plastic surgery and will not cause complications like lumps and bumps (fibrosis).
You'll also be able to tell if your therapist is properly trained by having the same knowledge they should have about how MLD works to reduce swelling.

The key to reducing and preventing swelling after plastic surgery

Swelling After Surgery
In order to fully heal after surgery, you need to understand the phases of wound healing, what to expect from your swelling, how to prevent further swelling/ re swelling, why swelling helps us heal and how to get rid of swelling before it stagnates and causes complications.
Fibrosis After Surgery
Fibrosis is a complication that can be avoided and reversed after surgery. You’ll learn what causes lymphostatic fibrosis, how to prevent it, what makes it worse and how to turn it back to swelling so you can urinate it out during your MLD sessions.
Garments and Supplies
We teach you about the science of compression garments, why you need compression post-op, basic supplies you need like Arnica, Lipo Foams, and the difference between the generic, everyday use version of these supplies vs. the kind you need for surgery recovery.

Understanding your body’s recovery process after surgery, the role swelling plays, how to get rid of swelling after surgery, what causes fibrosis, how to find a certified manual lymphatic drainage therapist, what supplies you actually need, signs your body isn’t healing properly, and the steps you need to take during surgery recovery, is the only way to get the results you paid for.

What You'll Learn: Course Modules
2-2
Module 1: The Lymphatic System- What Is Swelling & How Does It Work?

One of the most important things you'll learn is the purpose of swelling after surgery. Swelling is the reason your body can heal, but it can also be the reason behind those lumps and bumps after surgery.

We go over what exactly is swelling, why it happens, how to support your body's built in system for getting rid of it, as well as signs that your swelling isn’t going away and causing complications.

Module 2: Swelling After Surgery & How We Get Rid Of It- What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage?

In this module you’ll learn all about the science of the lymphatic system, which is the key to getting rid of your swelling.

Your body naturally gets rid of swelling on its own, so we go into why this might not be happening post surgery. We also go into what you’re doing that may be causing your body to swell more than it needs to, how fibrosis after surgery develops from stagnant swelling, as well as why manual lymphatic drainage massage is the only massage you should be getting for the first 6 to 8 weeks.

It’s super important for you to be armed with the science of your lymphatic system so you can understand how manual lymphatic drainage massage works.

We are manually dilating and pumping the lymphatic system, getting it to do its natural job of draining your body of excess swelling through your urine. We need to know how the lymphatic system works in order to tell the difference between a regular massage and manual lymphatic drainage.

Module 3: Your MLD Massage Sessions- What Should Happen During Your Massages?

Learning the difference between manual lymphatic drainage massage and all other kinds of post-op massage, when to get each type of massage, and choosing the right therapist is a game changer for a smooth, speedy recovery and avoiding complications like fibrosis.

In this module we teach you about manual lymphatic drainage massage and everything you need to know about what happens in these sessions.

This includes learning what the sequence is supposed to be in order to work for swelling reduction, why the technique works for swelling, what it's supposed to feel like, when to start your sessions, how to direct your therapist during your sessions, as well as what shouldn’t happen in these sessions that could cause complications.

These sessions should NEVER be painful, use rollers, machines, ice, heat, oil, deep pressure or involve fluid leaving your body (which is not legal for massage therapists to do in multiple states).

Module 4: Finding & Vetting Your Lymphatic Therapist.- How To Know If Your Therapist Is Properly Certified?

Everyone loves to offer “Lymphatic Massage or post-op massage” but how do we know if they're actually certified in MLD, doing the right technique, or have experience with reducing excess swelling?

This is where you’ll learn how to vet your manual lymphatic drainage therapist. Understanding what certifications they should have, what they should know based on their certifications, questions to ask your prospective therapist to make sure they're doing the massage correctly, as well as how to pick the best person for you based on your needs.

You want to choose a therapist that knows the proper MLD technique, how the lymphatic system mapping works, and how to work with the way your body naturally drains swelling after surgery. With the right MLD therapist, your body will be able to reabsorb excess swelling after surgery, prevent/ eliminate fibrosis, and speed up your recovery.

Bonus Module: Post Op Supplies-Do's and Don’ts

When researching your surgery, you come across tons of my journey videos with everyone using products, tools and machines, trying to heal, but these things can be extremely painful, making swelling and fibrosis worse if not used properly.

Facebook groups, random Google rabbit hole searches, and other social media platforms like TikTok are not helpful places to go to in order to find the supplies that you actually need. None of these places have certified plastic surgery recovery specialists explaining why you need these supplies, how or when to use them.

Our bonus module busts some of the most common post-op supply myths like ice rollers and using heat, teaching you about the basic supplies you will need and what you won't need, as well as the difference between the generic, everyday version of these supplies versus the kind that will work for plastic surgery recovery.

Whether you’re preparing for plastic surgery or just went through surgery, learning everything you need to know to know about your swelling after surgery and the phases of healing is key.

Also, learning how to get rid of fibrosis, how to avoid complications, what garments and supplies you need, as well as how manual lymphatic drainage after plastic surgery helps your body heal properly are crucial components of this process. Discover it all in our post-op recovery course.
